In March 2022, a print shop in Queens stood in for the end of the world. The final confrontation of Dragon Fire — R.A. the Rugged Man’s video for the track from All My Heroes Are Dead — was shot on the roof and floor of Linco Printing, a working press house that has served New York since long before anyone thought to film there.
This poster came off a press in that same building.
Printed as an offset lithograph in four colours on uncoated stock, it reproduces the film’s key artwork at full size: the elephant rendered in the yellows and oranges that run through the video’s palette, with the complete production credits set beneath in the tradition of the theatrical one-sheet. It is a film poster made the way film posters were made, for a film about the place that made it.
The edition is limited to one hundred numbered copies. Each is stamped and recorded, and no further copies will be printed at this size.
Dragon Fire was produced by The Circus Bazaar Company and directed by Linn Marie Christensen and Shane Alexander Caldwell, from a script by Joe Lynch and Shane Alexander Caldwell. It features Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah and Masta Killa, with Kool G Rap and Xx3eme, alongside Logan Marshall-Green, Peter Greene and Shannon Briggs. Photographed by Arthur Woo.
