Geoffrey Roberts
Geoffrey Roberts is a British historian and emeritus professor of modern history at University College Cork, specialising in Soviet diplomatic and military history, particularly during World War II and the Cold War. He is widely known for his revisionist scholarship on Stalin-era foreign policy and Soviet war leadership, including the acclaimed Stalin’s Wars: From World War to Cold War, 1939–1953 and Stalin’s General: The Life of Georgy Zhukov. A Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Member of the Royal Irish Academy, Roberts is a frequent commentator on history and international affairs.
